Teaching children and youth is a joyful experience and a wonderful way for adults to pass our beautiful Catholic faith on to the next generation.
As a catechist you will need to:

• Be a person who practices your faith
• Have a solid basis of understanding the basic teachings of the Catholic faith
• Be willing to continue to grow in your own faith
• Train to be on the VIRTUS system from the Diocese of Buffalo, a platform through which we maintain safety for our youth
• Submit to a criminal background check

Faith-filled individuals are always needed to help our young people grow in their love for Christ and one another. Being a catechist is a vocation, a call from God that comes in the heart.
